Jessica Henshaw
Aloha 🌺 I’m Jess.
I help people understand how stress and life experiences show up in the body, as sensation, pain, discomfort, or disease and then guide them in practical ways to understand and release it. We listen to the body together and allow it to guide the process. I believe alignment happens when we learn how to listen to the body, restore safety to the nervous system, and reconnect with the parts of ourselves that have gone quiet.
People often ask, “What do you do in a session?” and it’s a fair question, because this work doesn’t fit neatly into one category. When you work with me, we start by getting curious about how your life experiences are showing up in your body. Sometimes that looks like a face or body reading — not as fortune-telling or diagnosis, but as a way of noticing long-held patterns. The face, posture, feet, and alignment often reflect how we’ve learned to cope, protect ourselves, or carry stress over time. I explain what I’m seeing in clear, grounded language and we explore what resonates for you. From there, we connect those patterns to emotions, stressors, or life experiences that may still be living in the body. The rest of the work is practical and embodied. We might use simple somatic exercises, breath, gentle movement, or guided awareness to help the body release what it’s been holding. Nothing is forced. You stay present and in control the entire time. Clients are often surprised by how concrete this feels. We’re not analyzing your past endlessly, instead we’re paying attention to what your body is asking for now. Sometimes the shifts are subtle: more ease, better sleep, less reactivity. Other times, people experience very tangible relief — like tension softening or pain resolving once the underlying emotional load has been addressed.
This work is personal for me. I’ve navigated my own season of profound transition and inner alignment — including rebuilding my life, and starting over emotionally, financially, and spiritually. I know what it takes to slowly, patiently rebuild trust with yourself.
My path hasn’t been linear. I come from a background in nutrition, yoga, creative healing, and intuitive coaching, and over time my work naturally deepened into psychosomatics, bringing understanding of how the body carries stress, trauma, and unprocessed emotion. I didn’t arrive here because it was trendy; I arrived here because it worked when nothing else did.
I bring a grounded, compassionate presence to my work. I don’t rush people, push breakthroughs, or ask the body to move faster than it’s ready to go. I create spaces where people feel safe enough to tell the truth, sometimes for the first time.
I support clients through group and one-on-one psychosomatic sessions and nervous system informed practices. I specialize in helping people process life experiences safely and gently — whether they’re navigating major transitions, emotional overwhelm, or the quieter, ongoing work of everyday life.
People often tell me they feel seen, steady, and more themselves in my presence. My role isn’t to have answers for you, it’s to help you access your own.
What Clients Can Expect
• A calm, steady pace with no pushing or overwhelm • Clear explanations in everyday language • Active participation rather than passive treatment • Tools you can use outside of sessions • Respect for your boundaries and readiness
You don’t need to know what’s “wrong” or have the right words. We listen to the body together and let it guide the process.
Testimonials:
“I always love your yoga sessions! Thank you so much. I absolutely see the difference in my week when I attend. Last week got crazy and I know part of it was that I didn’t get my weekly yoga that calms and grounds me. Thank you a million times for helping me through yoga.” -Mikki S.
