February 2023 Newsletter

Happy February friends! Thank you for being a part of my growing community.  I am so grateful for each one of you. Each month I will share with you more of my personal journey and things I have been learning, teaching, reading, and loving. My hope is that you will find something that speaks to your heart and leads you toward healing and happiness in your own life. Please feel free to share this email with any friends or family who you feel may benefit from it as well.

What I am learning:

I am learning that I really love to learn. I love reading and listening to new insights and information. I love taking classes and challenging myself to learn new things. I have found myself searching for opportunities this past month to learn and to improve myself, my coaching skills, and my offerings to each of you in my community. I am excited to announce that I will be starting a course this month, with a dear friend and mentor, that will help me refine and expand my skills and knowledge to better serve you. I am so excited for this opportunity and look forward to sharing with you more of what I learn from this course.  I would love to hear from each of you something that you are interested in learning more about this year?

What I am offering:

My 10-day online masterclass “Foundations for a Mindful Life” is available online. It is a self-paced course that can be enrolled in at any time. In this course you will learn simple foundational practices that will invite you to begin living in a more mindful way.

My online course “A Mindful Life Method” is a more in-depth 6-week online course that will lead you on a journey of reconnection with yourself. You will learn tools to reduce stress and anxiety in your life and practices that will help you live a more balanced, joyful life. Registration is available on an ongoing basis and group coaching calls will be every Tuesday from 6:30-7:30 pm.

Every Tuesday evening at 8:00 pm MST, I have an amazing group of ladies that join me for a yoga class with breathwork and guided meditation. We have built a beautiful community of women and I look forward to teaching them each week. This is an online class and we always love when new friends join. Cost is $5. Once a month I host a free women’s hiking group for ladies in my local area of Southern Utah. Our next outing will be on February 18th at 10 am. We will be hiking in the Hurricane area this month enjoying the warmer temperatures, sunshine, and beauty of the area.

I am attaching the women’s hiking group schedule and mini retreat schedule for 2023 to this email. Please mark your calendars and join me on a hike or retreat this year. Dates changed for the June retreat and May hike so please update those in your calendar.

I am also selling homemade herbal salves on my website now. Choose from Calendula, Pine, Rosemary, or Calendula mixed with Rosemary. The calendula and rosemary salves are made from homegrown organic herbs and the pine salve is carefully harvested from Pinion pines in the Southern Utah area. These salves have many beneficial properties and are a great addition to your home first aid kit.

If any of these offerings are of interest to you, please reach out to me at joyfulbalancedhealth.com

 What I am reading:

This month I have been working through the book “How To Meet Your Self” by Dr. Nicole LePera. This self-discovery workbook is a beautiful opportunity to discover your authentic self. In the first part of the book, she offers breathwork techniques to help create safety within. I had a great experience last month attending a breathwork detox class, in my hometown, with Amy Leavitt. She guided us through a breathwork and meditation session that allowed me to release another layer of stress and tension in my body. It was another confirmation of how powerful our mind and body are and how healing breathwork can be. I love when I read something and then have the opportunity to practice and incorporate it into my life. What has your experience with breathwork been?

What I am loving:

I am loving the time I am spending reflecting and studying while it is so cold and dreary outside. I have felt a reconfirmation that the classes, courses, hikes, and retreats I offer are exactly what I want to be doing and I have felt my enthusiasm and excitement for this year increase. I am so grateful for the opportunity to be working doing what I love and especially for the interactions I have with each of you. Thank you for the many positive things you bring into my life! I love this beautiful community so much!

Sending you all love and light,

❤Jessica
