November 2022 Newsletter

Welcome friends! Thank you for being a part of my growing community. Each month I will share with you more of my personal journey and things I am learning, teaching, reading, and loving. My hope is that you will find something that speaks to your heart and leads you toward healing and happiness in your own life. Please feel free to share this email with any friends or family who you feel may benefit from it as well.

What I am learning:

I learned in my Vocal Awakening Class last month that as we remember, reconnect and let go of fear, shame, and judgement; finding harmony with ourselves, the community around us, and all of life that “the medicine” can then move through us. The medicine is sound, it is truth, it is our authenticity. On the other hand, when we hold our energy in and don’t express or use our medicine that is when dis-ease occurs, both in our bodies and in society. These thoughts really resonated with me and I have seen the truth of this in my own life.

How are you allowing “the medicine” to move through you right now? Are there ways you are preventing your energy, truth, sound, and/or authenticity from flowing?

What I am teaching:

My 10-day online masterclass “Foundations for a Mindful Life” is available online. It is a self-paced course that can be enrolled in at any time. In this course you will learn simple foundational practices that will invite you to begin living in a more mindful way.

My next session of A Mindful Life Method begins on January 12th. This is a more in-depth 6-week online course that will lead you on a journey of reconnection with yourself that teaches you tools to reduce stress and anxiety in your life.

Every Tuesday evening at 8:00 pm MST, I have an amazing group of ladies that join me for a yoga class with breathwork and guided meditation. We have built a beautiful community of women and I look forward to teaching them each week. This is an online class and we always love when new friends join. Once a month I host a women’s hiking group for ladies in my local area of Southern Utah. Our next outing will be on November 12th at 9am. We will be hiking in St George area this month, so we can enjoy the sun and warmer temperatures.

What I am reading:

I listened to several conferences this past month:  on sleep, immunity, and trauma. I found it interesting that there was a common thread that I continued to hear throughout each one of the conferences. Managing stress, proper nutrition and good quality sleep are fundamental for achieving a healthy life. In every conference yoga, breathwork, meditation, mindfulness, and somatic healing techniques were encouraged by professionals like doctors, therapists, and dieticians as ways to manage stress, promote healthy eating and sleep habits, and help heal from trauma.  I loved hearing these experts share research backed findings of the same things I am teaching in my courses, classes, and retreats. I know the difference these tools have made in my life and was so excited to hear the benefits validated by so many experts over and over throughout the conferences.

What I am loving:

I am loving our new family photos. Our family gathered together last month and we were able to sneak in family photos. Our last photos were almost 4 years ago and we have added a daughter-in-law and a new furry friend to our family. I am so grateful for this amazing group of individuals that make up our family.
