August 2025

Dear friends,

I have now been in my new home for a month and what an adventure it has been already. Change always brings about growth and sometimes in ways we cannot even begin to anticipate. I had a little excitement this week with my first tsunami warning and evacuation. So grateful things did not materialize as predicted and that there was no damage here.  I have loved hearing from so many of you as you have reached out this past month. Thank you for your love and care and THANK YOU for your continuing support and encouragement. I am so deeply grateful to each one of you for being here.

What I am learning:

I have been learning so much lately! As I contemplated what aspect of my learning to share this month, I imagined for a moment each of your faces in my mind. I really contemplated what each of you might be facing in your personal life, as well as what we are each navigating as a bigger community in our world right now. As I sat in reflection, the words that came were clear: YOU ARE SO LOVED. YOU ARE NOT ALONE. YOU ARE SEEN AND YOUR NEEDS ARE KNOWN. I can offer these words with confidence, as I have felt the truth of them so many times this month and seen them manifest in the lives of those around me. This chapter of my life has been one of the most painful I have ever faced- on so many levels and for so many reasons. Though it appears I am living in paradise, the truth is, this place of beauty and healing has been essential to hold the depth of grief and transition I have been navigating. I know I am not alone in this.  I also am very aware that relocating or starting fresh is not an option for most. So, what are the lessons outside of environment that might demonstrate the truth of these words? How can we anchor into the truth of these words, right where we are? It often shows up in the smallest ways:

A well-timed message from a friend

Crossing paths with someone who expresses interest in your work and gives you a much-needed confidence boost

An understanding smile from a stranger on the street

A plan materializing for something you have poured your heart into

An unexpected opportunity or job offer or financial blessing

A moment of forgiveness or reconnecting with someone you care about

An opportunity you didn’t see before

A mentor that offers a tool to help you navigate

Your scheduling clearing so you can rest and slow down

Catching a sunrise or sunset, a rainbow, or a glimpse of beauty that stirs your soul

Witnessing someone else in their pain or joy or in the middle of their mess and knowing that all of it is part of life for each and every one of us

For me, today, it came in the form of a friend speaking words about their own experience in a way that landed profoundly in my heart, as it was something I was navigating but didn’t have words to express. I was reminded I was not alone in my pain and that I am loved and known. Their insights to how they navigated gave me hope and offered solace to my soul.

If you ever feel alone or unloved or unseen, I want you to know: I am here and am always willing to listen. And I believe we each have such a unique gift to bring to the world and that we are so much better when we build and lift and strengthen each other.

What have you been learning lately? In what ways have these truths shown up in your life?

PSYCHOSOMATIC THERAPY:

I will be offering another 1 hour call this month on August 6th at 8 pm MST. This will be an opportunity for you to experience what psychosomatic therapy is and how it can transform your life. This month we will focus on bringing awareness to our bodies and simply begin learning how to listen to the messages they are offering. There will be an opportunity for you to ask any questions you have about psychosomatics.  Message me for the zoom link if you are interested. This call will be a *donation based* offering. I hope to see you there!

Individual sessions may also be booked for a face, feet, or full body reading. This is a great way to begin to see yourself and your patterns more clearly.

YOGA:

Online classes are resuming this month. Please go on our Facebook page and choose the dates and times that would best work for you to give me an idea of when to schedule classes, then watch for classes to begin shortly. What I am reading:

I have been reading “The Way of the Peaceful Warrior” by Dan Millman. It was a book given to me by a friend and I am grateful for their insight in offering it. It is written as a story of a young college athlete and his encounter with a mentor named Socrates, who ultimately helps him transform his life. He begins as a confident, almost cocky, successful college gymnast who has little regard for others or for his own true wellbeing. Over the course of his years of mentoring he learns to find inner peace and harmony in his life. I could very much relate to some of the struggles and challenges he faced as he navigated his journey of growth and found many parallels to my current season within his experiences. This was an interesting read and a timely one as well. I am looking for new books to read and would love your recommendations for your favorite books of all genres.

What I am loving:

I am loving navigating a new environment and observing that when something is new, I find myself more present and engaged. I notice the smells and colors and even the feel of the air around me more than I would in a place I am more used to. I love being more present in my environment and with myself. I am spending more time outdoors and connecting with the land around me and am reminded again how much of an impact our environment has on our wellbeing. I love that this chapter for me includes lots of beautiful nature and an opportunity to really appreciate being nourished in all my senses. What have you been loving lately?

With love,

♥️Jessica
